Alamo, Charles Robert Hice Alamo revisitedHouston street is long and the riverwalk floes under the street the tourists meet a few minutes of silent water moves the boat goes fast and leaves a wake you can see where the boat has been and you can imagine the people having fun but you must go on you are almost to the Alamo again around the corner past the tourists standing in the rain lies the very walls of the Alamoas eye sit here in San Antonio eye feel the sacrifice of the Texans those immortal legends of mankind. Mankind was never meaner when it killed them at the Alamo the Mexican Army attacking a handful of people who were worth much more then them. It will never be forgotten every day THOUSANDS of real Americans visit this Texas Shrine and pay respects to all the people now immortal. The idea of fighting to get inside a place to live is not new every camp and every Army tent was also viewed as a fighting place to live this is now the Millennium has come to us to everyone and in this day and time fighting is now left outside to be lost or won by the setting sun. The story has been changed so to the Mexicans now in charge of this City it seems a lot less then Murder of these fine Americans but those of us born back in the day still remember the true story of the Alamo how Colenal Travis marked the line into the sand and begged his men to follow him to heaven Jim Bowie waved his knives and called to them come get my sickbed and carry me to Travis eye wish to go with him to heaven. And all the able bodied men walked with Crockett to Bowies bedside and carried him to heaven. Amen. This is the Alamo revisited.
